Karsten Attends Media Training in Copenhagen

It takes something extra for a researcher to communicate effectively with journalists on the radio or in front of a camera. A media training course, using practical tools, has helped Karsten Lassen sharpen his ability to convey his knowledge clearly and precisely—not only benefiting individual patients but also contributing to a broader understanding of the healthcare system and society as a whole.

“It was a truly valuable experience. One of the most interesting realisations for me was just how challenging it can be to make communication simple and easy to understand. It can be tempting to include a lot of details, but it’s a balancing act: too much information risks overwhelming the listener, causing the key points to be lost.”

“The new techniques and strategies I have learned enable me to communicate in a more targeted and engaging way. This means I now feel much better equipped to make my message relevant and meaningful—whether I am engaging with colleagues, decision-makers, or the public.”
